The BMW iDrive display has grown larger with each new model, incorporating smartphone-like swipe gestures for a more interactive experience. However, this large screen and direct touch functionality have some drawbacks, such as glare from direct sunlight or street lights making the display hard to see, and the display surface becoming dirty from regular use.

To address these issues, a specialised film has been developed for BMW, enhancing both visibility and usability under various conditions. This film features a special coating that facilitates smooth swiping and allows for easy cleaning of dirt, sebum, and food oils. Additionally, the coating protects the display surface from scratches caused by fingernails and other objects.

The base layer of the film is treated with a double-layered AR (anti-reflection) and AG (anti-glare) coating. This ensures that the display content remains clear and vivid even in direct sunlight or under street lights. The AG treatment also enhances usability and stain resistance, applied minimally to maintain over 95% transparency, thus supporting high-definition imaging without compromising display clarity.

The product uses a special protective sheet called "Kiresepa," designed for easy positioning and application. Even those inexperienced with applying films can position it easily, reducing the risk of errors. The special adhesive allows for multiple reapplications, letting you adjust the position until it is perfect.

The "MULTIFUNCTION SCREEN PROTECTOR" is a wholly Japanese-domestic product, with planning, material development, design, manufacturing, and packaging all conducted under stringent domestic quality control standards.
